Leukemia and Lymphoma Awareness Month
September 1 – September 30 CDT
National Leukemia and Lymphoma Awareness Month takes place during the month of September. As the month of September brings leukemia and lymphoma into focus, it is time to increase public understanding of these diseases, including their prevalence, approaches to screening and prevention, treatment options, and resources that offer updated leukemia and lymphoma information throughout the year.
National Leukemia and Lymphoma Awareness Month, is sponsored by The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. Its mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services.
