National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October 1 – October 31 CDT
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is observed in October and sponsored by the American Cancer Society. Breast cancer is the second most common kind of cancer in women. About one in eight women born today in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in her lifetime.
Raise awareness during the month of October and during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This educational month is a chance to raise awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer. Make a difference! Spread the word about mammograms and self breast examination, and encourage communities, organizations, families, and individuals to get involved.
